Increasing Foreign Interest in Alanya Real Estate

The establishment of the Urban Aesthetics Council was approved at the March session of the Alanya Municipality Council. Regarding the matter, Adasa Yapı - Inspection Firm's Chairman of the Board, Civil Engineer Aycan Fenercioğlu, made statements, saying, "A positive development for the construction sector."

Fenercioğlu stated, "Best wishes to the Alanya City Council. This is an important development, especially for the construction sector. Architects and engineer council members will become members of the city council. The aesthetics of future constructions in Alanya will be monitored. A commission will work both from an architectural perspective and in terms of the city's skyline. I wish success to all members; may it be beneficial for Alanya."

Providing updates on the construction sector, Fenercioğlu said, "Alanya ranks among the top three cities in Turkey where foreigners buy real estate. Although we are a district, we function at a provincial capacity. In the past three months, there has been significant foreign demand for property in our city. We hope this number continues to rise. With the upcoming tourism season in March-April, I expect serious demand from foreigners. Feedback from fairs and incoming information suggest a return of foreign buyers. The nature, beauty, sea, and sun of our city—our geography—are crucial factors in this regard. Another factor is the projects created by contractors, which appeal to foreigners. A favorable cycle has emerged here. Due to rising costs and interest rates, the construction sector has struggled over the past two years. However, since September, we have observed a significant increase in foreign demand. Current data indicate that this demand will continue to rise. We hope foreign interest continues to grow, which will further improve the sector. Not only foreigners but also locals have started showing interest. The reduction of interest rates by state banks has been highly influential. Lower interest rates have encouraged locals to buy property. Now, state banks can help people acquire new homes. All these developments have accelerated the sector. The construction industry in Alanya is currently in good condition, and I believe it will reach even better levels," he said.
